The Bishop of the Bishopric of the Forces is the Rt Revd Thomas Matthew Burns (born 1944). This Latin-rite Catholic diocese covers HM Forces across the UK and overseas. The chaplains are drawn from the dioceses of England and Wales and Scotland, and from some religious orders. Chaplains have pastoral care of military personnel and their families.
The diocesan office is based in Aldershot, Hampshire
