[edit] History
Bishop Watterson, the first coeducational diocesean high school, opened its doors in the fall of 1954. Bishop Michael Ready mandated that the school be named for Bishop John Ambrose Watterson, who served as the second Bishop of Columbus from August 8, 1888 to April 17, 1899. Bishop Ready invited the Dominican Sisters to help staff the school, whose traditions and commitment to excellence still stand today.
