Bishop Smith Catholic High School

Bishop Smith Catholic High School is the largest school within the Renfrew County Catholic District School Board. Located in Pembroke, Ontario, on the Ottawa River.

Aprox. 1100 students from grades 8 to 12 attend the school.

BSCHS was recently reconginzed in Maclean's Magazine as being one of the best schools in Canada for its Dominican Republic Experience.Also of note, the school takes an annual trip to Nangor Beach in September, and while there is no swimming permitted, it is a fantastic tradition that encourages school spirit and meeting new people, due to its main event, the Giant Handshake.

The annual yearbook has placed 2nd place in 2004 and 2005.

Bishop Smith recently took over the newly titled East Wing, which was formerly occupied by Jean Lajoie. It is home to the Grade Eight students who attend the school, as well as a couple other classrooms.
