Birmingham-Hoover Metropolitan Area

The Birmingham-Hoover CMSA also known as Greater Birmingham, is made up of 7 counties in Alabama. The population of the metro area as of the 2000 census was 1,052,238. It is the 48th largest metropolitan area in the United States according to the 2000 U.S. Census.
