Binary explosive
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A binary explosive or two-component explosive is an explosive consisting of two elements, neither of which is dangerous of itself, and have to be mixed in order to become explosive. ANFO is an example of a binary explosive.
Binary explosives are often used in commercial applications because of their greater handling safety.
