From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Welcome fellow Wikipedians! This is my talk page (as you might have possibly noticed - without my wanting to insult your intelligence). This is the place for you to post a comment, to seek for advise, to ask for help or to request my legal consultation. In any case, place your message in the bottom of the page completely ignoring everything else (strictly personal) and, please, sign your name after your comment. It is really bothersome for me to have to find out everyone's identity from the page's history. Because I can do it. You cannot keep anonymity here. No one can! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Anyway, you can see my point. Sign your posts. If you include a timestamp, even better. You can do that by using four tildes (~~~~).

Note: I might not be available in weekends, so be prepared to have your post wait until Monday if you submit them in the period between Friday evening and Sunday night (Europe time). Sorry for the potential inconvenience.

[edit] Hayden Planetarium

Wikipedia:Cleanup is not the right place for articles that need expansion. They belong on Wikipedia:Requests for expansion instead. I have moved your request to expand Hayden Planetarium there. Norm 10:03, 8 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Katerini

Γεια σου Βασίλη... or rather, "Hi Bill". :) Thanks for your contribution on the Katerini article. I'm interested myself on developing articles about Greece, especially the north, so keep in touch. Also, I suggest adding yourself to the lists of Greek Wikipedians and Multilingual Wikipedians. Etz Haim 10:43, 8 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Need Help

The article vanavsos is up for deletion. Can you please help in this regard. Second, I am having difficulty with Wikinfo:Classical definition of republic and am having trouble on Talk:Republic because they won't allow an external link. It was deleted off of Wikipedia, and I believe it needs to come back on. A serious mistake in deleting this article. Thanks for your time.WHEELER 18:30, 8 Mar 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Talk:Murder

In light of the recent reversion of your edits to Murder, I've posted a comment on the talk page that I'd be interested to get your perspective on. Please comment there if you have an opinion. Thanks. —chris.lawson (talk) 06:17, 30 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Poll (Macedonian Slav or Macedonian)

I hope that this message is of interest to you, if not please accept my apologies. There is a poll in the talk page of the 'Macedonian Slavs' article here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Macedonian_Slavs#The_poll

Some people are lobbying for changing the article's name to Macedonians without any qualifier. As it seems, a number of these people come from the Macedonian/Macedonian Slav wikipedia project. It seemed only fair to attract the attention of people possibly from the other side of the story. Your contributions to the discussion and the poll are welcomed.

I am sorry but I do not fulfill the requirements to participate in the poll. Most of my contributions were done after June 11th, as I still had my exams by that date and did not have the time or the chance to surf the Internet. Oh, and sign your name when you post a comment.--Bill the Greek 08:50, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Help!!!

I am having a lot of trouble since I've joined here. I've bee naccused to being a sock puppet by someone who I beleive to be a sock puppet. This has caused much consternation, and I was willing to write it off completely after getting the page at issue frozen. that was as far as I could take it. But now I've been branded a sock puppet, and a vanda- WHICH I AM NOT!!!!!!! It has affected my other edits. Now, the person causing this trouble for me has had some decent edits in the past. PLease don't let that mislead you to his torublesome pattern. He has now said my edits are not real or true. This is very hurtful, and makes others think that I'm not really trying, but if you go through my edits you will see that I've added to the articels, or cleaned them up signifigantly, or simply wiki fied them where they needed. I have done my fair share in the face of this onslaught that willmcw has launcheed against me. He is actually in cahoots with someone called Sojmabi Pinola, and that person is a sock puppet for the subject of the article at issue- Biff Rose.

I ask you to help me, as this libelous behavior by willmcw to my user page is wrecking my credibility on edits, and causing me unease. thank you..Steve espinola 06:35, 10 August 2005 (UTC)

Might want to check with me about how this guy has attempted to systemmically derail the new cleanup archival system which I predominantly migrated over the course of days of work. — HopeSeekr of xMule (Talk) 17:11, 10 August 2005 (UTC)
Upon *much* further research, I have determined that the operator of User:Steve espinola similiarly operates at least 5 different accounts noted at Talk:Biff_Rose; all accounts were created after 4th August and all accounts are involved in vandalism and/or very POV edit wars. — HopeSeekr of xMule (Talk) 17:19, 11 August 2005 (UTC)

Another thumbs down about this guy calling himself "Steve Espinola." If you look closely at the content of his edits, on the Biff Rose page and elsewhere, they are generally destructive. He is posting on Wikipedia under a bunch of names, including the name "Biff Rose". On the other hand, my name IS actually Steve Espinola and has been so for 38 years (I can prove it), and I'm a friend of Biff's; he created accounts under those names in an attempt to needle us. He has also created a user name that differs from this one by one letter. Not only is he making destructive edits, he is spreading serious libel under some of those names. There is a consistent style and intent to his writing, in spite of all the different names. If you look closely at what he is writing, his story falls apart. Mine does not. Sojambi Pinola 18:37, 11 August 2005 (UTC)

As you can see from the above wikipedia has proven to be a bad place for me. I thank you for taking on my case, but I also think that perhaps I will simply not work on wikipedia. Steve espinola 22:22, 11 August 2005 (UTC)

Listen, Steve, I do not believe that a silly dispute can be a reason for you to withdraw from Wikipedia. I see all this accusing each other and, honestly, it doesn't feel at all good. I would suggest to all parties that we talk this out to find a solution. Cooperation is the key to the good function of this encyclopedia and cooperation will be what will solve this issue. Can we all please try at least once to put an end to this? --Bill the Greek 06:20, 12 August 2005 (UTC)
Cooperation would be great. A particular type of cooperation that would be most helpful is if your client could limit himself to one username, preferably one that is not so confusing. Thanks for your help. Cheers, -Willmcw 06:52, August 12, 2005 (UTC)

"Steve" (aka Bob) was quiet as a mouse from 12-14 August and I sincerely believed he had wised up. However, my talk page was assaulted by several new sockpuppets including his original on Monday the 15th and thus I am still plagued by his juvenille tantrums. — HopeSeekr of xMule (Talk) 22:13, 16 August 2005 (UTC)

FYI, I have blocked Steve espinola and a handful of other sock puppets, leaving user:Jonah Ayers for the user to edit under. -Willmcw 22:25, August 16, 2005 (UTC)
Anyway, I got the point. Thanks for your comments but I request that you stop posting more. I have retired from the case, so stop bugging me. (Although I have to admit that the whole thing is taking an amusing character - at least for a third party. I only hope that I am not accused of being one of Mr. Espinola's alleged sockpuppets.) --Bill the Greek 07:31, 17 August 2005 (UTC)
No problem - you're good. Thanks for contributing to wikipeace. Cheers, -Willmcw 07:41, August 17, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] How to become an Advocate

Thanks for your note Bill. I have joined the mailing list and see to add my name to the list of advocates. Hadn't added it because I wanted to make sure I wasn't skipping any protocol before hand, I will do so now. Best regards - Jord 15:01, 11 August 2005 (UTC)

Thanks again! - Jord 13:28, 12 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Your "client"

Your client made the most insightful comment via a sockpuppet here [1]. That was after he semi-vandalized my talk page. This operator uses at least 6 different aliases and it's getting pretty old reverting his vandalism. So what is a guy to do? I bring this to you since he came to you first; apparently with regards to people reverting his vandalism. — HopeSeekr of xMule (Talk) 13:16, 15 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Human Rights Servey on Wikipedia (The final post of I_sterbinski)

Dear all,
Wikipedia was recently a subject of intensive research of an huge international human right organization. A team of people from different nationalities and ages were acting on Wikipedia for 20 days, investigating previously noted anomalities of Wikipedia free editing and forming a final report, which (between the others similar reports) will later be a guide to all future moves of the organization concerning Wikipedia. Acting under an account of a real person, their privacy is to be held private. Therefore, very few private information will be revealed.
Also, this is a result of the lack of final possition of the organization concerning Wikipedia and human rights, which was still not formed.
The team's final post on Wikipedia, where they explain their actions can be found on the following addresses:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:I_sterbinski
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Macedonia#Human_Rights_Servey_on_Wikipedia_.28The_final_post_of_I_sterbinski.29
The team would like to thank to all the persons who took part in the correspondence with us.
We also want to appologise for keeping our identity secret for a longer period.
Best regards,
Aleksandar, Biljana, Asparuh, Christos, Valjon, Michael and Ana Luiza

[edit] Wikipedians in Greece

Hi, I understand that you are either Greek Wikipedian or a Wikipedian living in/with an interest in Greece.

The category page Wikipedians/Greece has been replaced with Category:Wikipedians in Greece but your name still appears on the old list. You might considering moving it. You might also consider adding adding Template:Greekwiki to your user page.

A Wikipedia:Greek Wikipedians' notice board has been in existence for some time but is terribly underutilised. It would certainly benefit from your involvement.--Damac 12:10, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] AMA Coordinator Election

Dear AMA Member,

You are entitled to vote in the AMA Coordinator election, set to begin at midnight on 3 February 2006. Please see the pages on the election and its candidates and the procedure and policy and cast a vote by e-mail!

Wally 10:59, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

I just saw the post. May I vote now? No? OK, but don't say I didn't try.--Bill the Greek 09:56, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Please help

There are some editing anomalies appearing on the Fill Your Heat discussion page. An administrator named Will Beback is canceling any opposing statements and branding new users as sock puppets of someone else. This is highly irregular and very biased. Please help.Magri garou

Not Biff Rose... Not again!
I will try to be clear with this one. The user under the name Magri garou has only one edit at all and this is the one above this paragraph. This is rather suspicious on its own. I also saw the name of Sojambi Pinola featuring prominently on the discussion page of the article. This name too brings to my mind last year's "case", which left me very annoyed at the time. I just don't want to concern any more with this case.
For which, by the way, you didn't exactly give me any accurate information: the article is not Fill Your Heat but Fill Your Heart, and I had to do some digging to find that based on the only correct piece of information this post gave me (the administrator's name). It seems to me as common sense that I cannot really help anyone unless one actually gives me something to work on, you know.
Which will not happen this time. And it is a fact that I hadn't renewed my membership to the AMA at the time this post was sent, even though I had updated my user and talk pages. Which means that someone found me from my small involvement last year. I really thought this whole matter was over. And I am tired of it. I am sorry but I cannot help. [edit] plotinus please help

YaZoo! Please help I am in the middle of a whole sets of calamities. An editor goethean is reverting out my contributions to plotinus, neoplatonism and gnosticism, Vladimir Lossky, Dostoevsky because I stopped another editor from adding original research to the plotinus article. The conflict is revenge based and other admins refuse to do anything. Please help! The poster goethean has engaged in personal attacks as well as edit warring against against other editors as well as me. Thanks LoveMonkey 03:17, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

I'm sorry I am so late at answering this post but I really don't have much time on my hands lately. I will do whatever I can to help but I repeat that I have little time and I can't promise anything. Sorry for that. — Bill the Greek 09:59, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
