[edit] Billy Idiot
After sending in a tape of his audition, Billy receives an invitation to attend an academy for talented ballet dancers from Ms. Edie Pollywinkle, an evil elderly witch who sucks the souls of the students who attend her academy so she can forever be the best ballet dancer in the world.
[edit] Home Of The Ancients
Grim, Billy and Mandy play bowling with the Moon when the Underworld police show up to arrest Grim. In the Underworld court, he is convicted for terrible misuse of his powers for which he is sentenced to 50 hours of community service in a retirement home. In the Underworld retirement home, Grim meets his childhood idols - Dracula, The Bride of Frankenstein, and the Wolf Man, though they don't look very well. Billy claims that "modern kids" watch horror movies and aren't afraid of these classic monsters, but Grim takes them back to the real world to show Billy and Mandy that "You can't beat the oldies".
[edit] End Credits
Grim introduces three retired monsters (the same ones in Home of the Ancients) to a guy on the street and bribes him to pretend they're still scary. The competition is a glass of water, and the guy is afraid of the water.
[edit] Cultural References
- Mrs. Perriwinkle's Ballet School looks a lot like Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.
- Freddy and Leatherface make cameos in House of the Ancients.
- Billy Idiot is a parody of the film Billy Elliot. Even though Billy Idiot focuses on Billy's ballet ambitions, we never actually get to see him dance.
- Billy's Dad uses the "Mabuhay Shuffle" in Billy Idiot. The term Mabuhay is a Filipino term used to welcome visitors. The literal translation of the term is "be alive".
- The "Mabuhay Shuffle" bears an amazing resemblance to the Chicken Dance in both music and choreography
- Billy Idiot also took some ideas from the horror film Suspiria in the matter of a witch using a dance school for evil purposes.
- When Billy is listing things he has wanted he can be heard wishing for a "Red Ryder BB Gun" with a compass on the side. Probably a reference to A Christmas Story .
- When Grim tells the kids a story in Home Of The Ancients, the story is about 4 Kids and their dog in their van referring to Scooby Doo.
- When grim visits the underworld court Judge Roy Splean, the blue vampire and a few are seen there that you also see in the episode Keeper Of The Reaper.
