Bill Lee (musician)

Bill Lee (born July 23, 1928 in Atlanta, Georgia) born in Snow Hill, Alabama is an American musician. He has played the bass for many artists including Aretha Franklin, Odetta, and Bob Dylan. He is the father of Spike Lee and Joie Lee, and has composed original music for many of Spike Lee's films, including She's Gotta Have It, School Daze, Do the Right Thing and Mo' Better Blues.
