Talk:Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I actualy have a question about the big bad voodoo daddy connection with the cherry poppin' daddies, ive looked up quite a fwe differant song and each time they come up with alot of the same things.
- I don't think there is a direct connection. They may have toured or played together, and there certainly has been some compilation swing albums with both, but as far as I know there's no overlap in membership or songs. Both bands started about the same time in two different places (California and Oregon, respectively). BBVD mainly plays classic big-band music in addition to originals written by Scotty Morris. CPD, on the other hand, is more of a punk band (or punk/rock/ska/swing/funk/r&b/fusion), and Steve Perry (not the Journey guy) writes most of their music. —TheMuuj Talk 04:47, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Scott Morris - Ninja?
A link in the first sentence of the History section points to an article about a Scott Morris who was a fighter in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. I highly doubt that the Scotty Morris of BBVD was ever an Ultimate fighter. I recommend that the link be removed.
