Bigg Boss

Bigg Boss is a reality television series aired on Indian television channel Sony Entertainment Television. The series started on 2006-11-03, and is based on the international Big Brother format developed by Endemol in the Netherlands.

[edit] Salil Ankola in trouble with Balaji Telefilms

Salil on Thursday 9 November, 2006 was ordered by the Mumbai High Court, to immediately leave Endemol India production or face serious criminal charges. Under the terms and conditions of the agreement, he signed on June 2006 clearly stated that he was not allowed to act in television serials made by any other production house or channel that “directly or indirectly compete with Balaji Telefilms”.

On 10 November, Bigg Boss had ordered him to leave the house, after a direct court order had been received to Endemol India by the High Court. During the time this was announced to him, he suggested that the contract that he had with Balji Telefilms signed was may be done illegally. Whatever the case may be Salil Ankola is first controversial person in the Bigg Boss and first to be kicked out with out a formal eviction.

[edit] Deepak Tijori will replace Salil Ankola

After the controversial eviction of Salil Ankola from the house, Endemol India and Set India decided to replace him with another contestant. On the 15th of November episode it was revealed that Deepak Tijori is the new contestant.
