Big Ten's was a sports bar located in Washington Ave in Minneapolis, MN, close to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus.

Established during the civil war, Big Ten's provided the Continental Army soldiers, not only with burgers and boots, but with cigarettes as well. Under the management of General Thibodeau the troops were found to be unintelligent and unaware of the political and social conditions of that era. Therefore Big Ten, willing to contribute to boost the morale of the soldiers, etsablished the Wednesday Night Trivia. In 1955, the management realised that 14% of 4th of July are on Wednesdays. Thus it was considered for the day to change. After a 3 month period of arguments and experimenting on alternate days, it was found that Thursdays are the most unlikely days to fall on a 4th of July (for example the 4th of July of 2006 is on a Tuesday) and therefore it was decided to move the Trivia Nights on Thursday night.

In July 2002, there was an awesome and powerful trivia, whose name would rival all the best trivia teams in the world. Their name was Team Strike Force. Team Strike Force had an undefeated streak of 5 months. It was that team and their thousands of supporters that realised that in 2002 the 4th of July fell on a Thursday and therefore resigned from the Big Ten trivia competition. Due to that the bar run out of business and shortly after had to file for bankruptcy under Article 7 of the 3rd Amendment of the American Constitution.

There are rumors in the local press of a grand reopening on Tuesday July 4 of 2007. Every student of the University of Minnesota is anxiously awaiting for this reopening and the reunion of the Trivia Night.
