The term big shot can refer to:
- A slang term for a VIP, executive, business magnate or media mogul

- A characterization of a wealthy businessman who front rows a second-line (or leads) the Krewe of Zulu, an open membership Mardi Gras crew in New Orleans, poking fun at politicians, aristocrats, neuvo-riche, or mafia figures. Big Shot is the carnival character on which the Louisiana soft drink is based.[1]
