Big Mouth Billy Bass

Billy Bass can also refer to Billy Bass Nelson, a bassist who was part of P-Funk.
Big Mouth Billy Bass is an Animatronic singing toy, resembling a bass, popular in 2000 and 2001. Made of rubber stretched over a mechanical frame (in order to more closely resemble a mounted trophy fish), Billy Bass, designed by Gemmy Industries, wiggles on its trophy plaque while singing kitschy cover songs, such as "Don't Worry, Be Happy" and "Take Me To The River" by Talking Heads.
The toys appeared frequently in pop culture at the time, featured on television programs such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, The Sopranos, The Office and Live with Regis and Kathie Lee. Eventually the toys became less popular, as their kitsch value faded and pop culture moved on (Athough a November 2006 Verizon Wireless commercial featured one that sang Christmas carols.)
