"Big Brother-in-Law" was an episode in the fourth season of the TV series Yes, Dear.
[edit] Plot
Jimmy announces that he is making an audition tape for Big Brother. He gathers Kim, Greg, and Christine around to watch his audition tape which consists of him introducing himself, eating an entire box of Twinkies, and riding a bike naked. A few nights later Jimmy receives a call that he was accepted and that he has to leave in two days. Kim & Greg volunteer to help Christine with Dominic and Logan while Jimmy is gone.
Everyone gathers around the television to watch the first episode. Host Julie Chen tells everyone to rush into the house and find a bed. While everyone runs inside Jimmy stands outside mugging for the camera, by the time he notices everyone is gone all the beds are taken. Jimmy then accidentally goes back outside and the door locks behind him. Greg says Jimmy is probably looking for the guest house. He calls Julie to unlock the front door. Everyone is sitting around talking and Jimmy announces that they usually have an old guy and soon realizes that it's him. All the contestants say Jimmy is a cool person because he is easy to get along with and can reenact any television show you want. Christine tells Dominic and Logan to get a bath and they comply. She enters the bathroom and asks why the floor isn't wet and they reply that Jimmy is the one who does that. Greg shows Christine a few pieces of property that they can buy when Jimmy wins, but they are all on the East Coast. The nomination ceremony is taking place, with Marcellas (head of household) nominating Jimmy and Allison for eviction. They show some deceiving taking place with everyone gathered around except Allison. Marcellas announces that Allison has to go, but they need a decoy (someone that no one will vote for). Jimmy volunteers to be the decoy. Greg is relieved because he thought Jimmy might get kicked out.
On the second night before the eviction takes place some footage is shown of Marcellas talking to Allison telling her he set Jimmy up because he is a threat and that he is getting kicked out. Greg is worried that Jimmy is being double-crossed and tells Kim & Christine that he going to do something to stop Jimmy from losing. Greg heads down to lot 22 where Big Brother is taped. The guard at the gate questions him and asks for ID, Greg shows him his studio badge but it is not for lot 22. Greg says OK and leaves. When the guard enters his booth Greg hops a fence and floats down a creek running under the street. He then hops a fence surrounding the Big Brother house. Security in the production truck see Greg on camera and when Greg breaks in the front door and starts shouting he is removed.
Later in the night Jimmy and Greg are brought in to talk to Julie. Julie says that Jimmy has been disqualified in a Big Brother first because his brother-in-law broke into the house. When Julie plays the rest of the footage Greg sees it was just a cover to force Allison out. Jimmy says that even though he didn't win Big Brother, Greg's guest house will be full for a long time.
[edit] Notes
- All the houseguests were former Big Brother contestants on the real show.
