Bharathidasan Institute of Management

Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM), located in Tiruchirapalli, Tamilnadu state, India, is a glittering example of industry-academia partnership. BIM has been started in 1984, as a collaborative venture between Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and Bharathidasan University.

BIM has been providing world class management education through its two-year full-time MBA programme. Over the last two decades, BIM has risen to prominence as one of the premier management institutes in India. Currently, BIM has an annual intake of 120 students.

BIM and its students have received several accolades that include

-Business Excellence Award for Managerial Excellence in 2005 from Madras Management Association
- Winners in Global Social Entrepreneurship Competition (GSEC) 2005 conducted by University of Washington at Seattle
-Winners of technology business plan competition at Imagine Cup 2005 conducted by Microsoft at Yokohama, Japan.

The Honourable President of India Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam, has recommended BIM to Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) for training its scientists in management.

BIM has recently formed an academic collaborative partnership with Bangalore Management Academy (BMA).

BIM is all geared up to sustain its excellence and set global standards in management education in the years to come. BIM is branching soon to Chennai & Coimbatore.
