Bhaktavatsalam Vidyashram is a school in Korattur, Chennai. It was founded in 1989 and it mainly follows the CBSE standard of education, though there is a separate Tamilnadu State board for high school. It was founded in the name of the former Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, Mr. Bhaktavatsalam, and it earned a good reputation in the neighborhood. It also has links with the Padma Sheshadri chain of schools in Chennai and the exchange of standards and operation procedures was beneficial to it. One of the interesting fact about this school, is the interest it created in the far-away country of Nepal. It receives dozens of students everyyear from Nepal, and at one-point its high school was almost dominated by the Nepali students, and hence the school provided hostel facilities.
