Short Bio

I was born in a working class suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. My father is a tool and die repairman. My mother is a caregiver. I have a bachelor of arts degree in English (creative writing) from Cleveland State University and an associates degree in journalism from Cuyahoga Community College. I have been a freelance writer since June 1994. I have published my own newsletters in the past. My articles cover various topics from current events to local music and other forms of entertainment. I am a patron of the humanities and have volunteered with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. I was born with diabetes mellitus type 1.
