Bezpečnostní informační služba

Bezpečnostní informační služba (Czech: Security Information Service), is a Czech national intelligence agency. BIS performs duties associated with the analysis, protection and legitimate use of strategically-important intelligence regarding the fields of politics, economics and intelligence on the territory of the Czech Republic. Legitimate use is understood to mean the transfer of intelligence to the relevant departments of the CR government.
BIS controls and takes active measures in the fields of:
- the actions of foreign intelligence services/agents on the territory of the CR,
- the actions of extremist and illegal organizations,
- the actions of terrorist organizations or individuals,
- illegal activities in the Economic and industrial zones.
