Beuchel
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Beuchel is a small uninhabited island in the Neuendorfer Wiek bay of the island Rügen, and is only a little over a hundred metres from the coast of Rügen. It is roughly 400 metres long, 150 metres wide, and has an area of 7 ha. The island is shaped like a kidney; it is flat and tree-less.
The island was declared a nature reserve in 1940 to protect the birds brooding or resting there, and cannot be visited.
