Bethlehem, Indiana

Bethlehem is a town in northeast Clark County, Indiana, situated along the Ohio River, close to the county line with Jefferson County, Indiana. It was platted in 1812, persumably named for Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, according to WPA records.
It's first office was established on March 6, 1816. At Christmastime, many go the post office to have their Christmas letters have a Bethlehem postmark, as Jesus was born in the Israeli town of Bethlehem.
