Beth Willman

Beth Willman is an American astronomer at New York University, working with Sloan Digital Sky Survey data. She and her team have discovered two Milky Way satellites so far, SDSSJ1049+5103 (known commonly as "Willman 1") and UMa dSph.

Willman earned her PhD at the University of Washington in 2003. She earned her undergraduate degree in Astrophysics at Columbia University. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
