Besut

Besut is a district in the Malaysian state of Terengganu. It is bordered by the state of Kelantan to the north and the South China Sea to the east. It is the northern gateway to Terengganu. Jerteh is the district capital. Another major town is Kuala Besut. There are other small towns such as Jabi, Apal and Bukit Payung. Besut is further subdivided into 16 mukims and 5 state constituencies.
