[edit] Which Rostov?
The article says that he was brought up "among the Don Cossacks at Rostov". Don Cossacks were in Rostov-on-Don, a totally different city. Also, it seems that Rostov was outside the Pale of Settlement, hence Jews were extremely unlikely there. I failed to find something on google. Please clarify. Mikkalai 04:10, 10 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- As footnote of the article says, this is basically copied verbatim out of an old Encyclopedia. It may use poor nomenclature inconsistent with today. If you feel any information is outdated, please rectify as you see fit (this is a wiki after all).--ZayZayEM 04:16, 10 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Thank you. Unfortunately I cannot, that's why I am posting the question here. Mikkalai 04:29, 10 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- If the information you supplied above is true. I would be inclined to agree it is Rostov-on-Don--ZayZayEM 08:29, 30 Mar 2005 (UTC)
