In 1965, Bertil Hult founded the educational and language travel company EF Education - EF Language Travel. He served as the company's CEO until 2002. He is now chairman of the board and Louise Julian has instead resumed the position as CEO. Under Bertil Hult's supervision, EF grew to become a multi-billion dollar corporation with more than 20000 employees in 51 different countries. Apart from EF, Bertil Hult is involved in the fight against illegal drugs and he also supports research into dyslexia. In 2006 he was elected This Year's Swede in the World.
