Bert Ljung

Bert Ljung is a fictional character in the Bert-diaries, Swedish children's books who in 1994 were made into a TV series. The first book came out in 1987. In the books, Bert starts as a 12 year old child in the spring term of the fifth grade in Sweden but later becomes a mischievous teenager discovering his own sexuality. From the books the readers learn that Bert Ljung was born on February 21, 1976, but a lot of anachronism exists. Bert Ljung lives in Öreskoga, which is a fictional city in Sweden.
