Bernd Rechts is a character from CrossGen Entertainment's Sigilverse. He appeared in several episodes of the Scion series as a military advisor to the Heron Kingdom. The hero of Scion, Prince Ethan, is the youngest prince of the Heron kingdom. Bernd Rechts is one of the self-styled gods called The First, he is was sent to monitor Prince Ethan, the Sigil-Bearer.

Bernd Rechts appears as a quiet thinker, dressed in green. He seems to have a good understanding of military strategy.
Bernd Rechts offers his services to the Heron Kingdom but in reality he has been sent (perhaps by the High Council of House Dexter) to monitor the Sigil-Bearer on this planet. He learns that another member of The First, named Mai Shen from House Sinister, has also taken up residence on the planet. Since House Dexter and House Sinister are in a state of near constant warfare, Bernd Rechts proceeds cautiously.
In Scion #15, Bernd Rechts and Mai Shen arrange a secret meeting. There Mai Shen explains her desire now is to rule the world through the Raven Dynasty. She suddenly attacks and kills Bernd Rechts. Taking on his form, Mai Shen lures the Heron army into an ambush. Most of the Heron army is destroyed in the resulting battle.
