Bern Arena

Bern Arena (originally known as Eisstadion Allmend) is an arena in Bern, Switzerland. It is primarily used for ice hockey and is the home arena of SC Bern(see http://www.scb.ch). Bern Arena opened in 1970 and holds 16,789 people. You find the Bern Arena at Mingerstrasse 12 in 3014 Bern. The Bern Arena is planned to become the main Arena for the IIHF 2009 Hockey World Cup. As the Bern Arena is a old Arena from the 70s it has to be renewed for this big event. There are several projects being evaluated.
