Berlin Marathon

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Berlin Marathon is an annual marathon in Berlin, the capital of Germany. Usually it will take place in late September. The "33rd Berlin Marathon" took place on September 24, 2006 for the runners, and on September 23 for inline skaters, power walkers, handbikers, wheelchair riders, and for the children's marathon (4.2195 km, or one-tenth of a full marathon). The first Berlin Marathon took place in 1974.

The Berlin marathon follows a low-altitude course without any great elevations, which makes it a very fast race when the weather is right.
