From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bergfrid Fjose (31 March 1915 in Ullensvang13 May 2004) was a Norwegian politician for the Christian People's Party. She was Minister of Social Affairs 1972-1973.

During her period in office, she was responsible for the Vinmonopolet; that period saw the introduction of a plastic bag for the customer to carry their bottles, unusually coloured purple - making quite visible who had visited one of its shops. Those bags were quickly nicknamed fjoseposer (Fjose-bags), a named still occasionally used today.
