[edit] RE: link removal
Hi Ben,
I got your e-mail regarding my link removal at the Reseller web hosting article. I hope you don't mind that I am replying here - I prefer to use e-mail communication only for topics that aren't directly related to article work.
I removed the link because Wikipedia is not a linkfarm; the article already has a link to a directory of hosting providers and a link to articles about reseller hosting. We don't need to link to every helpful resource on the internet for a given topic - if we did, we'd be swimming in external links! If you truly feel your link adds value to the article, however, you can bring it up on the article's talk page. You can write exactly what you said in your e-mail to me. Then, just sit back and allow other editors to determine whether the link should be included or not (give it time, sometimes discussions take a while to get going).
I hope this helps,
-Dan
- Ok thanks for responding, I truely think it does have value for anyone that would view that page as it is the only site on the internet that is focused on reseller hosting from a business point of view and not just trying to get people to sign up for a host.
