Thanks for uploading Image:Ben publicaloop.jpg, Image:Ben aloop.jpg, and Image:Ben ptpt.jpg. I notice they currently don't have an image copyright tag.

Could you add one to each to let us know their copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) Thanks so much, Zzyzx11 (Talk) 07:01, 21 May 2005 (UTC)

Thank you for tagging the images, but fairuse isn't really appropriate for an image that you yourself created. Fairuse is generally for images created by others which cannot be replicated. The standard license for an image you yourself created is the GFDL, which can be added by placing {{GFDL}} on the image description page. - SimonP 01:51, Jun 2, 2005 (UTC)

I've seen several of your edits around the Mortal Kombat articles. I'd like to point out that headings should only have one capitalized letter (excluding proper nouns); for example, the "See Also" section you added to Mortal Kombat: Annihilation should actually be "See also". For further reading, see Wikipedia:Manual of Style (headings)#Capitalization.

To follow up on what was said above, we no longer allow user-created images to be under nonfree licenses, ever. So you need to relicense or delete. Stan 12:39, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

Please give a source that complies with the license: "[from]...advertising material or a promotional photo in a press kit." The current source page is not the owner of the image and as such cannot release the image for any use. feydey 19:12, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
The source reference is good enough now. By "enable it" do You mean adding it to the Gordian Warrior page? Just use wiki syntax... Best, feydey 22:12, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi there, I reverted your changes to Smash; for disambig pages, we keep the (unhidden) original article titles. Sorry if this wasn't clear. I'm in the process of trying out a template that includes a hidden comment for editors, so people don't have to waste their time doing this.

Don't worry about it; as I said here, the problem is that we say to people "do X, Y and Z". So people helpfully take their time to do just that and *then* we say "Oops... doesn't apply to disambigs". As far as I'm concerned, that makes it our (i.e. the more experienced users') fault for not doing something about it, not yours. Fourohfour 19:00, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:GordianWarrior.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.
