Benedictum is a heavy metal/progressive metal band from San Diego, California, currently having released their debut album and in preparation to go on tour. It was originally formed by vocalist Veronica Freeman and guitarist Pete Wells after the end of their earlier band Malady. After finding Blackie Sanchez and Chris Morgan the group produced a three-song demo with the aid of producer Jeff Pilson, who also provided the bass, cello and additional keyboards at the time. They were signed later by Locomotive Records and recorded further songs to complete their debut album “Uncreation”, which was released on January 29th 2006 in Europe and March 14th in North America. They also toured a number of locations throughout Europe during the summer of 2006.
