Grand Rabbi Ben Zion Aryeh Leibish Halberstam of Bobov

Status is disputed with Grand Rabbi Mordechai David Unger of Bobov

(b. 1955) is the son of Grand Rabbi Shlomo Halberstam (1907-2000) of Bobov.

Upon the death of his half-brother, Grand Rabbi Naftali Halberstam, Bobov split in two. Many chose to follow Rabbi Ben Zion, while many chose to follow Rabbi Mordechai David Unger a son-in-law of Grand Rabbi Naftali Halberstam.

Before the funeral of Grand Rabbi Naftali Halberstam; his half-brother Rabbi Ben Zion was crowned the successor to his brother; by his brother-in-law Rabbi Chaim Yaakov Tauber, Dayen of Bobov in the presence of other important Bobover Hasidim in the Dayen's house.
