Ben Stevens

Ben Stevens (born 1959) is an American politician who is President of the Alaska State Senate. He is a Republican and the son of Senator Ted Stevens.
Stevens graduated from Arizona State University with a B.A. in Economics, and from George Washington University with an M.B.A. Owner of a consulting firm and a former commercial fisherman, Stevens was president of the 2001 Special Olympics World Winter Games held in Anchorage.[1] Stevens was appointed to the State Senate in 2001 by Democratic Governor Tony Knowles and chosen as its President in 2005. His Senate office was among those raided in 2006 in the course of an FBI investigation of ties between state legislators and the oil and gas industry. Stevens did not seek re-election in 2006.
