Ben Murphy

Benjamin E. Murphy (born March 6, 1942) is an American actor. He is best known for his role in the television series, Alias Smith and Jones, co-starring first with Pete Duel and later with Roger Davis.

He also appeared in a supporting role in The Name of the Game, a series featuring a rotating leading cast including Tony Franciosa, Gene Barry, and Robert Stack. After Alias Smith and Jones Murphy went on to star in his own series, Gemini Man in which he played a character who could disappear through the use of a watch. However, the show did not run for more than a season. Since then Murphy has been seen in guest starring parts, the most recent being a murder suspect in Cold Case.

Murphy was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and grew up in Hinsdale, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. He attended eight different colleges before setting out on an acting career.
