Ben Herd (born 21 June 1985 in Welwyn, Hertfordshire) is an English footballer who currently plays for English League Two club Shrewsbury Town. He is a fullback and wears the number 12 shirt for the club.
Beginning his career as a trainee at Watford, he left on a free transfer in June 2005, having never played a game for his local club.
He made his Shrewsbury début on 6 August 2005 in a 1-0 defeat at home to Rochdale. He has been almost ever-present for Shrewsbury since he joined the club.
