Ben Bernie and All the Lads

Ben Bernie and All the Lads is a short film made by Lee De Forest in the DeForest Phonofilm sound-on-film process. The film features Ben Bernie conducting his band The Lads, and features pianist Oscar Levant. The band and Levant perform songs by George Gershwin and Vincent Youmans. On 15 April 1923, the film premiered with seventeen other short films made in Phonofilm at the Rivoli Theater in New York City.
