Ben's Cookies
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ben’s Cookies is a chain of cookie shops in England. The original store was located in Oxford’s historic Covered Market, but has expanded to include nine stores. Ben’s was established in 1984 by Helge Rubinstein and only sells cookies which are priced by the pound. Their cookies are very fresh and are usually served up still warm out of the oven. The cookies are slightly undercooked giving them crisp outside and a soft and chewy consistency. Their cookies are also appreciated for their large chunks of melted chocolate. A trip to the original Ben’s Cookies is considered by many a must when visiting Oxford. There is even a Ben's Cookies Appreciation Society group on Facebook.
