Didn't Belgium did qualify for korea/japan Worldcup 2002?

[edit] Qualification record

I checked on Italy national football team page, and it looks like that Italian national team qualified for 7 consecutive times ('62-'86). This means we should remove the record claim, at least up next qualifiaction ends. --Panairjdde 10:14, 14 Apr 2005 (UTC)

no, actually, as 1982 champions, they automatically qualified for the 1986 edition... so they only had to play qualifiers for 1962-1982 --LimoWreck 20:19, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
Extract from [1] : Belgium successfully went through qualifying without a free pass or a walkover for the sixth consecutive World Cup, the only team ever to do so. (An asterisk for Italy here: they qualified six straight times from 1962-82, but got a partial walkover in 1962, needing only to beat Israel to go through.) --LimoWreck 13:39, 19 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] rv incorrent qualifying record streak

LimoWreck, what was incorrect about (1982-2002)? I'm quite sure they were there, I saw all the games. Please explain when you revert. Piet 10:47, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

Hmm, 1982-2002 was correct, sorry, that got lost in the edits. It was the phrase "behind italy's seven" that was incorrect, but seems something got lost because i actually restored a part of a previous version. Seems to be correct now ;-) --LimoWreck 10:50, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
No problem. Piet 10:58, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
