Belphemon is a fictional character from the Digimon franchise. Belphemon was the last of The Seven Great Demon Lords to be released, and of the Seven Deadly Sins, his is 'sloth' because of his laziness when in "Sleep Mode". His name and some characteristics are based on the demon Belphegor. It is said that Belphemon sleeps for a thousand years in his "Sleep Mode" and then awakens.

Akihiro Kurata, his men, and the Gizmon found a temple in the Digital World. Within it, Kurata found the Digi-Egg of Belphemon. When he brought it back to his lab in the Digital World, he hatched it into Belphemon's Sleep Mode and he began to use his Gizmon to delete Digimon and absorb their data to feed to Belphemon's Sleep Mode. His Sleep Mode was revealed to Tohma H. Norstein and Gaomon before Ikuto Noguchi and Falcomon attacked.
