Beira Interior Norte

Beira Interior Norte is one of Portugal subregions (NUTS level 3) integrated in the Centro region. It is also a urban community (ComUrb). The capital and its most important city is Guarda (pop. 26,000). It has 9 municipalities and its population is of 112,766 inhabitants (2005 statistics). The municipalities are:
