The Beeld is an Afrikaans language daily newspaper that was launched on 16 September 1974. The Beeld is distributed in five provinces of South Africa: Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, North West and KwaZulu-Natal. It is the largest Afrikaans language newspaper in South Africa, with a circulation of more than 200,000 [citation needed]. Its slogan is Jou wêreld, Jou koerant (English: Your world, your newspaper), and is owned by Naspers.
