Bedri Baykam

Bedri Baykam (born Ankara, 1957) is a Turkish artist and intellectual.
He received his higher education in France, and lived in California, USA from 1980 to 1987, studying painting and film at California College of Arts and Crafts. Since 1987 he has lived in Istanbul.
Active both as an artist, and as an outspoken advocate of leftist causes, Bedri Baykam is an internationally known figure in Turkey.
