Bedford Drive is an alternative rock band from Southgate, Michigan, near Detroit. The band describes its sound as "post-hardcore power pop." It has been active since 1998.
Scott Anger is the quartet's lead vocalist. Edward Sertage also plays guitar and sings backing vocals both live and on recordings with Bedford Drive. Additionally, Ed plays a role in booking shows/tours, and handles the group's finances. He is also the bass player of the Detroit band, The Cast, The Camera. Michelle Bojanowski plays bass guitar for Bedford Drive, and Ryan Looney- the newest addition to the band- began serving as drummer starting in June of 2003. He is also the drummer for The Cast, The Camera. In early 2006, this band was named in Alternative Press magazine as one of "America's Top 10 Unsigned Bands of 2006". In August, the band finished recording The In-between, what is to be their next release. The EP was recorded in Burlington, Vermont by Mike Poorman (ex-Hot Rod Circuit), who also acted as co-producer and took care of mixing responsibilities. The 5 songs were recently mastered by Alan Douches of West West Side Music. Bedford Drive is currently in the midst of approving artwork for the record. The product should see the light of day before the new year.
