First, I suggest reading Wikipedia:Profanity and m:Should Wikipedia Use Profanity. Then feel free to comment at the talk pages: Wikipedia talk:Profanity and m:Talk:Should Wikipedia Use Profanity. Λυδαcιτγ 03:23, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Tutorial
I'd be happy to help out, but let's first make sure that the samples would be legal. I asked at Wikipedia_talk:Music_samples#Backwards_samples; hopefully I'll get a response. Λυδαcιτγ 17:07, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- I think Deco is right; it would violate WP:OR to create backwards samples. Still, we can link to that page you found. Λυδαcιτγ 17:16, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Edit counters
The edit counters I link to are broken, since the English Wikipedia somehow managed to mess up its data output, disabling many of the useful tools that relied on this output. However, you can get your own edit counter at User:Interiot/Tool2 - just follow the instructions there. Λυδαcιτγ 17:19, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
And the reason it shows 10 edits for you is that it only goes up to June. Λυδαcιτγ 17:20, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:Cittydrop.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Cittydrop.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Re: Backmasking
I think uploading the samples would violate policy. However, you'll notice that List of backmasked messages now contains about 10-15 links to backmaskonline.com. While we can't take its clips, it's still a great resource; thanks for bringing it to our attention! Λυδαcιτγ 01:59, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fixing title
Yes, you can change the title of an article. There's a "Move" button at the top of the page. That'll do it. It'll leave a redirect at the old location, so first make sure nothing else is redirecting there (double-redirects don't work, point them to the new title), and then request deletion on the old page (unless it is a likely typo that would be good to keep redirecting) -Goldom ‽‽‽ ⁂ 03:23, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Renaming a page
In order to change an article name, you "move" it to the correct title. There's detailed instructions at Help:Moving_a_page. Since you already created the correctly spelled Animosity (disambiguation), I deleted the wrong one for you. Shell babelfish 03:25, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Ryanmccombs.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Ryanmccombs.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Soilscars.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Soilscars.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hole in the wall 11:25, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Songs
Hi Tim,
I like the individual song listings. Although some of them could use expansion, as a whole they're a nice resource, especially combined with Template:Sehnsucht. Maybe Tier (song) and Küss Mich (Fellfrosch) are better off deleted, but the other song articles have useful information. Λυδαcιτγ 22:12, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 13:10, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

I redid the block so that now it should only block anonymous users. There are some busy vandals on that IP; I've never seen a non-AOL IP before with more than 10 blocks. Let me know if you're still having problems editing from your account. Cheers, OhNoitsJamie Talk 21:45, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ram
Hi there; in terms of warships, the expression "battering ram" is totally wrong. A battering ram is a mediaeval instrument of siege warfare which, by repeated blows (battering) on a weak point on a fortification would cause a wall or gate to give way. The ram of a warship was designed to inflict a single, devastating blow to an enemy. The ram bows of warships, whether of the Victorian or of any other era, were never , ever called battering rams. I am reverting your changes. --Anthony.bradbury 20:52, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
- No problem; all friends here. HMS Hero, HMS Conqueror and Conqueror class battleships. The word ram does appear on the dab as a warship of the 1860's.--Anthony.bradbury 22:27, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

- Ok. Just going to bed (UK time 11.35) but I will do a nice article on naval rams tomorrow. Recheck the dab page in 24 hours. :-)--Anthony.bradbury 22:35, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Ryanmccombs.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Ryanmccombs.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok ☠ 03:39, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
