Beaubassin East, New Brunswick

Beaubassin East is a rural community in southeastern New Brunswick, Canada in Westmorland County. Beaubassin East is as such, the first rural community in all of New Brunswick, and Canada for that matter. There is a second one, the Rural Community of St-Andre that has just recently beenformed in Victoria County bringing the total number of rural communities in NB to 2. It elects a council, but has no mayor or reeve. The municipality is located on the south shore of Northumberland Strait and encircles the Village of Cap-Pele on three sides.
