Beau-Bassin

Beau-Bassin is a town in Lower Plaine Wilhems, Mauritius. It has a population of 106,987 (2003 census). The main sites of interest are the Balfour Gardens and the Cascadelle View Point. Beau Bassin is one of the main towns of Mauritius and one can find restaurants, pubs, discos, big supermarkets and several high street shops. The Lower part of Beau Bassin is mainly a residential area. Beau Bassin is also home to John Kennedy College, which one of the most respected secondary schools for boys in the island.
