Bearded Billy / The Nerve is the 33th episode of The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. It first aired on October 8, 2004 on Cartoon Network.

Billy wants to grow a beard, but of course, being a child, he can't. Grim helps him by powering beard tonic with his supernatural powers, but Billy spills the supernatural tonic all over his body, and people from Endsville mistake him as the sasquach. There is a cash prize for catching the sasquach, and the whole town goes looking for him. Hoss Delgado comes to the town to catch him, but Mandy wants the money, too. Mandy knows who the "sasquach" actually is, and she and Grim quickly find him under Billy's bed. However, Hoss Delgado steals Billy from them and goes to trade the "sasquach" for the cash reward. Suddenly, Grim and Mandy appear, surprise Hoss and spill a large amount of supernaturnal beard tonic on him, turning him into a sasquach. They handover Hoss, Mandy gets her cash prize, and Grim gives Billy the antidote, turning him back into his normal self.

Billy asks Mandy what the secret to her evil and fearless nature is, and she reveals that she has "the Nerve". Billy wants to be like her, thinking it would allow him to stand up against the bully Sperg. He asks Grim to shrink him, so he can go inside Mandy's head and steal her nerve. Grim at first laughs at Billy's idea ("I would laugh harder if I didn't know how dumb you are"), but when he realizes that Mandy can't order him around if she doesn't have the Nerve, he accepts. Billy and Grim sneak into Mandy's house while she is sleeping and Grim places the shrunken Billy in Mandy's head. There, Billy finds the Nerve and steals it. Mandy becomes a scared little girl (even her voice changes), and Grim freely enters her room. With the Nerve, Billy becomes evil and starts ordering Grim around. Grim realizes that he liked evil Mandy much better than evil Billy, and he helps Mandy steal her Nerve back. The Nerve, however, is very happy in Billy's head, as Billy's powerless brain can't control him and he can party all the time. When the Nerve starts mocking Mandy, she realizes that she doesn't need the Nerve - her nerve is not what makes her "dark, foreboding, and charmingly cynical" - it is she herself. She becomes evil again and kicks the Nerve out of town.
