Beachniks

The Beachniks are a band from Victoria, Australia. Their name is a reference to the term beatnik, however the word beach is used because the band lives and performs near the coastal town of Lorne, Victoria.
They have released two albums: The Many Moods of the Beachniks and Trombone Bay. The band members include Jeff Raglus (vocals, trumpet), Evan Jones (bass), Murray Walding (drums), Randal Forsythe (guitar).
The band has a loyal following and is known to play regularly around Lorne and Anglesea. They play a unique mix of reggae/ambient/funk and jazz, the later of which was the band's original chosen style from which they have since evolved. Both albums have seen fairly positive feedback and reviews, especially Trombone Bay.
