[edit] Philosophy

There are so many articles that have words, phrases and concepts that can be linked. Why not link as many words that can be linked as possible? I see all articles having many possibilities and countless that do not live up to their potential.

So many articles contain nuggets that need further investigation and exploration. Everything is interconnected and intertwined on so many levels, and that should be exploited.

A very high amount of connectivity adds to the richness of content, and could encourage even more additions. When I see content that has a lot of apparent key-words that I think that those words probably have an associated article, I just can't resist seeing if it indeed does and place square brackets around them to liven them up a little.

Categories and more Categories. There is a place for almost everything. Relationships and connectivity, something often touches something else in one way or another; connect the dots because there are many unrealized dependencies and interconnections.

[edit] Economics

Every company deserves an infobox. Most businesses create wealth and contribute to making the pie bigger for everyone. And if they don't then that too needs to be known. Companies that create, are successful, or are useful, should be encouraged and praised; those that lie, cheat and defraud should have a bright light cast upon them so they may be seen and stomped like a cockroach.

[edit] Bigger Pie

This user is a Capitalist.

In general, capitalism gives everyone a bigger piece of the pie because it makes the pie bigger. It is also a sink or swim proposition, if you fail, there is less of a safety net; but there more opportunity for success and advancement for those who are willing to apply themselves. Yes people complain that "the rich get richer" and so on… but what do they do to make better of themselves instead of whining? Capitalism makes it easier in many ways to be successful because you are rewarded for your contribution. You don’t contribute, you don’t succeed. There is usually a place for those who can’t contribute but are willing. Those who are not willing are the ones who will fall through the cracks to some stygian place.

[edit] Ancient History

In the early days of Usenet, and I remember when there was less than 300 Newsgroups I had a tendency to be a bit of a troll and enjoyed watching devolve in to Flamewars. Then again I encouraged by a real troll. So many of the discussions were a little bland and discourse needed to be encouraged to move along or were just plain wrong and needed to be redirected. Never anything personal, I would just toss a bone to the wolves with an odd slant to see what happened. The strange thing was I was often turned out to be right. Usually I would research and back myself up with actual facts and references. When there came to be more than a couple thousand Newsgroups this became difficult as there was just too much noise. I lost interest and basically reformed.
